7 TIPS TO LOOK EXPENSIVE ON A BUDGET
So you want to look like a million bucks without breaking the bank? Well I’ve got good news for you…you don’t always need expensive things to look expensive.
The key to looking chic is knowing how to style pieces together, what looks good on your body type and knowing how to accessorize. Below are 7 tips to make you look effortlessly chic/expensive on a budget.
Go For A Monochromatic Look
Sticking with one colour from head to toe always looks chic and expensive. You can go bold by wearing something colourful like all red or opt for something dull like dusty pink depending on your preferences. Personally, I think neutral colours look best when you’re going monochrome.
Wear Neutrals
Neutral colours like black, white, gray etc give off the vibe of class and sophistication, with neutrals you make a statement without so much effort e.g wearing an all white outfit. You can always play it up with accessories and add a pop of colour to brighten it up.
Structured Bags
Chic structured bags instantly elevate a look and make you look more expensive. Buy structured bags (bags that hold their own when put down) over soft leather bags preferably in neutral colors…since they go with everything.
Fit Is Everything
Buy clothes in your right size and spend the extra money to get your oversized clothes tailored so it fits and flatters. This always makes you look more put together.
Statement Sunglasses
Even if you’re wearing the simplest of outfits, throwing on a pair of nice sunglasses can transform your whole look especially an oversized pair.
Wear Red Lipstick
No, this is not because i’m obsessed with red lipstick lol. A bold red lip instantly polishes your look, whether you’re wearing jeans and a tee or a simple black dress. it’s also important to know which shade of red flatters your skin’s undertone. Also, a nude lip is a great option.
Good Grooming
- Whether you’re team natural or team weave/wig always keep your hair clean and styled.
- Chipped nails are a no no…always have a well done manicure
Finally I think the biggest tip is to wear confidence. There is nothing more powerful than being confident in your style and in your own skin.
And that’s all for today fashionistas…Did you enjoy this post? Do you have more tips on how to look expensive on a budget? Do you already follow any of these tips? Let me know in the comment section below!
