Hey guys! it’s been a minute. By the way TGIF! I don’t know why i’m excited…I’m down with a cold and have no plans whatsoever. I heard about The House Cafe some days ago and decided to stop by.
It’s located at No 12 Victoria Arobieke Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
It has a restaurant, coffee bar and a pizzeria which I thought was pretty cool. The restaurant gave off a contemporary vibe with the unique addition of Egyptian design/art.
While exploring (you bet I did) I saw it had this nice private space, which can be used for birthday parties, bridal showers etc
The huge Egyptian head with the snake lowkey gave me the creeps…shhh i said lowkey lol.
Sadly, the restaurant lighting is not the best for pictures. No picture spot worked for us, so we had to take our pictures outside (this is only for the bravehearted since House Cafe is just by the main road…Goodluck! lol).
The outdoor section is pretty simple but cozy.
For drinks, i had the Elixir (drink on the left) and Thonia had the Berry Fizz (drink on the right).
Can you guess which drink tasted better? if you guessed the Berry Fizz…you got it wrong. They both tasted good tho.
For food, I had the House Cafe Signature Lollipops for my starter and I had the Classic House Cafe Beef Burger for my main. The chicken lollipops were a little dry but i enjoyed everything else.
Thonia had the Maple Chicken Wings and the House Cafe T-Bone.
Okay let’s talk about Thonia’s steak, she had it well done and it was sooo good.
