Happy New Year Guys! It’s my first post of the year and I thought i’d kick it off by discussing style resolutions. These are just some tips and resolution ideas that can help you develop your style further this year. Let’s get on with it now…shall we?
Find Your Personal Style
Experiment with different styles and colours, find a style you like (be it alte, minimalist, chic or classic etc) and fill up your closet to complement.
Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak – Rachel Zoe
Don’t Let Fashion Rules Constrict Your Style
Don’t mix and match prints, short girls shouldn’t wear long dresses, don’t mix gold with silver etc. These are some fashion myths we’ve heard one too many times. Fashion should be creative, expressive and fun so wear whatever you want but in flattering ways. Do your research first please dears lol!
Wear More Colour
If you like to stick to neutrals, how about trying something new this year by adding some colour to your closet? you can start small with a colourful pair of shoes, phone case, bag etc and move up from there…hello monochrome look!
Take Fashion Risks
Stop playing it safe and try that animal print, exaggerated sleeves, tulle etc that you’ve been eyeing. Try an unexpected silhouette, chop or colour that hair!
When you’re running out the door, jewelry is probably the easiest thing to forget but everybody knows the right jewelry can immediately amp up any outfit. Try to wear more jewelry this year whether it’s throwing on statement earrings, dainty necklaces or cute knuckle rings etc
Declutter That Closet
We all own items in our closet that we’ve bought, worn once or have never worn. There are also pieces we love, have outgrown but are still holding on to them for whatever reason. Stop being a hoarder and make it one of your style resolutions to declutter your closet this year.
